lecture: How to optimize KVM using libvirt

Event_large

Using libvirt and related tools to optimize a virtual machine to perform better than the default libvirt configuration, such optimizations can lead to an increase in performance.

KVM is the new default virtualization technology used in most Linux
based Linux distributions. A short overview on how to technology works.
An explanation on how to implement virtual systems, using the default
command line tools included in most Linux distributions. How to build
server or desktop images. How to implement the networking connections
and how to secure the connections. Some optimizations and dynamic
allocation possibilities. A short overview of the benefits of these
implementation and some drawbacks. The portability of these systems and
how to migrate the systems amongst physical machines. This takes us more
into how this implementation can grow to the next step and create a
private cloud infrastructure for workstations.
