lecture: How To Get Your Patch Accepted

Event_large

Open source is built on volunteer hours. Using best practice in creating and reviewing patches means we're making the most of those volunteer hours - both from contributors but also from those overworked maintainers.

Whether your code is being reviewed by colleagues or an open source project maintainer, you want to get your changes accepted as easily as possible. This session is full of practical advice on how to prepare a perfect pull request, and how to evaluate and accept patches from other people into your project. Inspecting the code, testing the feature, communicating your changes and perhaps choosing to reject the changes - all of these will be covered from an expert who has seen it all before and has the stories to tell to prove it. Recommended for anyone who collaborates on a project with other people.
