lecture: Thank God it's Open Friday
Slack Time & Open Space for the learning organization
Tech companies that want to stay relevant better learn to learn. More specifically they need employees that learn fast and share their knowledge. But how to make time for that?
We invest 10% of our time to hold an Open Space every other Friday. We're still thrilled with the results!
What if people in your company shared their knowledge? What if you could turn drab meetings into high energy sessions? What if you could gather everyone you needed to discuss a problem without hassle and breaking their flow? What if you could try out new technologies easily?
What would you be willing to do to gain the above? We reach it by investing 10% of our time to hold an Open Space every other Friday. We're still thrilled with the results!
This talk will take you on a 4 year journey, retracing our steps from adopting Scrum to introducing 10% slack time with underwhelming results to our current happy state.
