workshop: MySQL document store: SQL and NoSQL united
Broaden your horizons with MySQL XProtocol
MySQL 5.7 addresses the needs of DBA and developers with an architecture that allows relational and schema-less structure to live together. You can use database objects using either SQL or an asynchronous API in Javascript, Python, or other languages.
MySQL 5.7 has introduced another protocol for communication with the database, which allows asynchronous operations and native document store handling. Since the changes are huge, both developers and DBAs are uncertain about what can be done and how. This talk will guide the attendees through the basics of the X-Protocol, with examples of using the document store using the new shell and programmatically. There will be examples of easy interaction between MySQL and other data stores using the new interface.
