Graphed metrics are valuable for troubleshooting capacity planning and historical analysis. Cacti is an open-source graphing solution that sets up in minutes and can also be used to graph many more components of your application such as switches and web servers. Unlike most general-purpose graphing systems that don't excel in any particular area Cacti offers first-class support for MySQL graphing with the mysql-cacti-templates.
